With over 750 original short films to his credit, his work spans social dramas that champion rural empowerment and gender equality, moral fables that explore compassion and resilience, and experimental narratives that challenge conventional form. Alongside his prolific filmmaking career, Tripathi built a reputation for incisive, hard-hitting journalism—serving as Bureau Chief on Doordarshan’s crime-investigation series Ankho Dekhi, leading investigations into cybercrime, rural development, and human-interest stories, and producing award-winning documentaries on digital literacy.
Beyond the camera and newsroom, Tripathi has emerged as an influential cultural ambassador and international speaker. In September 2022, he was the sole Indian panelist at the Qatar International Art Festival in Doha, delivering a keynote on “Cinema as the Most Complete Art Form.” His insights have also anchored sessions at the International Media Summit in London on “Ethics in Investigative Journalism” and at the Global Film Forum in Toronto on “Short Films & Social Change.”
